Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) on “Dehydration of Onion, Garlic and Ginger” concluded at HCP Division, ICAR-CIPHET Abohar

An Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) on “Dehydration of Onion, Garlic and Ginger” was organized from 11-13th June, 2019 at Horticultural Crop Processing Division, ICAR-CIPHET Abohar. The prime objective of this training was to develop different dehydrated products from Onion, Garlic and Ginger.  Two entrepreneurs from Telangana and Maharashtra have participated in this EDP training. Hands-on training was given to the participants about the optimized process protocol to be followed for drying of the selected crops. During the program, dehydrated onion slices, dehydrated garlic and ginger flakes along with powder based products were prepared. The participants have interacted and taken guidance from Dr. Ramesh Kumar (Head and I/C HCP, ICAR-CIPHET Abohar) during this EDP program. The 3 days training program was co-ordinated by Dr. Kirti Jalgaonkar and Dr. Manoj Kumar Mahawar.
