EDP on “Processing and Value Addition of Mango” at HCP Division, ICAR-CIPHET Abohar
An Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) on “Processing and Value Addition of Mango” was organized from 15th – 17th July 2019 at Horticultural Crop Processing Division, ICAR-CIPHET, Abohar, Punjab. Total six entrepreneurs from villages of Punjab and Haryana participated in this training program. The main objectives behind the EDP were to give Hands-on Experience to the entrepreneurs about the standard procedures for development of different value added products from mango. During the training program, various mango products were made including, dehydrated sweet mango slices, dehydrated spicy mango slices, mango squash, mango juice, mango pulp and mango jam. The three days training program was co-ordinated by Dr. Prerna Nath. Dr. S. J. Kale actively took part in organizing the training program and he also guided all the entrepreneurs regarding storage and transportation of fresh and processed fruit and vegetable products.
