ICAR-CIPHET licensed two firms for automatic dispensing of sanitizer&portable UV disinfection system
ICAR-Central Institute of Post-Harvest Engineering and Technology (CIPHET), Ludhiana has licensed the recently developed a sensor-based smart, touch-free, low cost, and portable device for the no- touch automatic dispensing of sanitizer solution and portable UV disinfection system two two firms. Sh. Dilraj Singh managing partner of M/s Forming and Forging Industries, Gill Road Ludhiana and the other to a soap manufacturing company for commercial manufacturing. Shri A. Balaji Manager of the M/s Sakhi Soaps Hindustan Soaps and Salts Company, Ongole Andhra Pradesh, who came to know about the technologies through news of Times of India paper, contacted the institute for both the technologies and took license for both the devices. He however, could get the certificate and license of the technology through digital means as was unable to get physically present due to the lockdown. He expressed his confidence about capturing the market as both of the small portable devices are compact and much needed device at public locations like offices, shops, hospitals, but also will play a key role in the fight against COVID infection. Sh. Dilraj Singh a young business man who had taken the licence for no-touch automatic dispensing said that it is high time that all youth should venture into making our country self-reliant by focusing on making indigenous devices, equipments and contribute in the development of the country. He had attended the training for a day to understand all the hardware and software components of the No-touch hand sanitizer dispenser and had planned to come up with the device in large scale within the minimum time as possible.
The Director of ICAR-CIPHET Dr. R.K Singh who is also in the team of innovating Scientists Dr. K. Narsaiah, Er. Yogesh Kalnar, Dr. Rahul K. Anurag, Dr. Bhupendra M Ghodki and Ms. Surya were present and assured further technical help for smooth upscale of technologies as Mr. A. Balaji, of Andhra Pradesh could get the training on assembling of the software and electrical components of both the technologies digitally through web meeting. Dr. Ranjeet Singh, In-charge, Institute Technology Management Unit and its staff Ms Alka Sharma played a key role in getting the licensing done though the office is operating with minimum required staff.
