ICAR-CIPHET grants license for Rose petal jam technology to Jagraon based budding young woman entrep
ICAR-CIPHET Ludhiana has developed technology for “Process for preparation of rose petal jam”. Value added products of rose are rich in antioxidants, used as astringent, tonic, mild laxative, antibacterial agent, treatment of sore throat, enlarged tonsils, cardiac troubles, eye disease, gall stones anti-HIV, anti bacterial and hypnotic activities. Keeping in view the nutritional as well as medicinal importance of rose petals, A young budding woman entrepreneur namely Ms. Shurti Goyal from Jagraon approached CIPHET for licensing of this technology. The technology is developed by research team: Dr. Mridula D., Dr. Deepika Goswami, Dr. R.K. Vishwakarma, Er. Akhoon A. Bashir, Er. Indore Navnath, Dr. R.K. Singh. Dr. Mridula D., main inventor of this technology imparted hands on training to Ms. Shruti Goyal. Dr. Ranjeet singh, I/c ITMU co-ordinated the licensing and training of this technology. Dr. R.K. Singh, Director, CIPHET Ludhiana awarded certificate of licensing and training to the entrepreneur on successful completion of the training.
